Recommended Keyboards

After using numerous keyboards, researching different types of keyboards and comparing the prices between them, I think I found a great keyboard to use.

Keyboards can cost above $300 but you can buy a quality keyboard that can last for a long duration of time, if you care for it properly, for between $100 to $200. My recommendation for a keyboard would be Apple’s Magic Keyboard (click on here to see it on Amazon). This is the keyboard I personally use and have found it more than comfortable to type on.

Important qualities of a keyboard are how much pressure you need to apply to it for your computer to be able to register its response and whether that pressure puts any harm on your hand or wrist. Taking the build quality into consideration is important to save you money in the long run, because if you go cheap on your keyboard you can buy one that tends to have keys that give out quickly and you will have to replace the keyboard fairly often.

Why I Chose Apple’s Magic Keyboard

I have used many different keyboards and can comfortably recommend this keyboard as a good one. This keyboard is great for students, workers, people doing personal projects and much more. I use this keyboard with my MacBook laptop and find they both pair great together. If you are looking for a keyboard that is not from Apple then check out the next section for other great keyboard options.

This keyboard is a Bluetooth keyboard that also comes with a wire for charging and connecting the keyboard directly to your laptop/computer. I like keyboards that give you the option to do both because it allows you to connect your keyboard to your computer through your personal preference.

What I like about this keyboard is the short travel between the keys. I type fast and almost never have to look down at my keyboard to find other keys.

This keyboard lies more flat to the surface and does not have stilts on the upper part of it like some other keyboards. The way it sits is not for everybody but I find for me that I can type quickly and comfortably on it.

This keyboard is not perfect and it does have its flaws though. The keyboard does not have backlit keys therefore if you are someone that still has to look down at your keys then you will need an accompanying light source. Some may also not like how this keyboard sits flat and opt for a keyboard with stilts on the back of it.

Ability To Travel

The Magic keyboard is great for traveling with. The keyboard is lightweight and does not take up much space in your bag.

I would take caution when storing it in your bag though because of how slim of a keyboard it is.

Other Keyboards to Consider

These next few keyboards are great for students, workers, people doing personal projects, gamers and much more.

Vortex Gear is known for providing quality keyboards. If you are looking for a keyboard that is a mechanical keyboard then I would consider the Vortex Gear (Cherry Mx Blue) Keyboard (click here to see it on Amazon). The advantage to a mechanical keyboard is that they are modular which means you can customize them to your liking. The people who use them find them more comfortable to type on. There are many different switches for a mechanical keyboard, which is a topic of its own, but basically, it allows you to customize the sound and sensitivity of your keys to your liking which can lead to a more comfortable typing experience and faster typing.

Logitech is a reputable company when it comes to providing quality computer peripherals. The Logitech G Pro Mechanical keyboard (click here to see it on Amazon) is a great option for a mechanical keyboard. It comes with RGB backlight keys. The keyboard does not take up too much space on your desk which giving your mouse additional space to roam around on.
